The Ultimate 1-Day Nusa Penida (West Coast) Tour Itinerary


06:30 AM – Hotel Pick-Up & Drive to Sanur Harbor Your driver will pick you up early from your hotel in Bali and drive you to Sanur Harbor. This early start ensures you catch the morning speedboat to the island.

07:30 AM – Speedboat Check-in & Departure Arrive at Sanur Harbor, collect your boat tickets, and board the speedboat. The boat ride across the Badung Strait to Nusa Penida takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes.

08:45 AM – Arrival at Nusa Penida & Meet Your Island Driver

Step off the boat onto Nusa Penida. Your local island driver will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name. Hop into your air-conditioned car to begin your island adventure.

09:30 AM – Stop 1: Kelingking Beach (T-Rex Cliff)

This is the most famous viewpoint in Bali. The towering coastal cliff forms the distinct shape of a T-Rex dinosaur jutting out into the turquoise ocean. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking.

  • Signature Highlights: The iconic T-Rex-shaped cliff structure and the crashing white waves below.

  • Accessibility: The main viewing platform is easy to access. Downward climbing to the actual beach is incredibly steep, narrow, and rocky; it is generally not recommended on a tight 1-day tour schedule.

  • Pro-Tip: The best photo spot is right at the top ridge, but please stand behind the safety railings at all times.

11:30 AM – Stop 2: Broken Beach (Pasih Uug)

A short drive away is Broken Beach, a stunning geological formation. It features a massive, natural limestone archway that lets the ocean water flow into a perfectly circular, enclosed coastal pool.

  • Signature Highlights: Walking along the natural stone bridge and looking down into the swirling, crystal-clear blue water.

  • Activities: You can walk completely around the perimeter of the bay for various panoramic camera angles.

12:15 PM – Stop 3: Angel’s Billabong

Located just a 5-minute walk from Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong is a spectacular, natural infinity pool carved into the volcanic rock. When the tide is low, the water is as clear as glass, showing beautiful green and blue patterns on the rock bed.

01:00 PM – Indonesian Lunch Break Stop at a local restaurant nearby to rest and enjoy a traditional lunch, which is usually included in most tour packages. Refresh yourself with a cold drink or a fresh coconut.

02:30 PM – Stop 4: Crystal Bay

To wrap up the sightseeing, your driver will take you to Crystal Bay. Unlike the steep cliffs of the previous stops, this is a beautiful, relaxing crescent-shaped beach lined with coconut trees.

  • Signature Highlights: Calm, clear waters and a peaceful beach layout.

  • Activities: Perfect for a quick swim, relaxing on a sun lounger, or snorkeling near the shore to look for colorful fish and coral reefs.

03:45 PM – Return to the Harbor Hop back into the car for the drive back to the Nusa Penida pier to catch the final speedboat back to Bali.

04:30 PM – Speedboat Departure to Bali Board the boat and enjoy the relaxing cruise back to Sanur Harbor as the sun begins to lower.

05:15 PM – Arrival in Sanur & Hotel Drop-off Your original Bali driver will meet you at Sanur Harbor to drive you back safely to your hotel, completing your island excursion.

Essential Travel Tips for This Tour:

  • Prepare for a Bumpy Ride: The roads on Nusa Penida can be narrow, winding, and bumpy. If you suffer from motion sickness, taking medication before the car tour is highly recommended.
